Precio justo."

Family with rental bikes on the Senda del Oso

Need help?

+34 644 199 430
1.

How much does it cost to rent a bike on the Senda del Oso?

An adult bike costs €25 per person per day. Kids bikes €22, baby seat €14 and trailers (kids or dog) from €22. The e-bike costs €50. All prices include helmet, insurance, map, on-route support and return transfer from Buyera.

2.

Is the route hard? How long does it take?

The Senda del Oso is one of the easiest family routes in Asturias: 18 km the short one (Entrago → Buyera) or 28 km the full one with a detour to the Valdemurio reservoir. It is almost flat with a gentle downhill (around 200 m). By bike it takes 2-2.5 hours at a relaxed pace, stopping to eat and see Molina’s enclosure. No fitness needed: it is done by kids from 6 years old to grandparents.

3.

Do I need to book in advance? Do I pay when booking?

Yes, always. We rent by reservation only, to guarantee your bike and size. Booking is free with no commitment — we don’t ask for a card or deposit. You can pay by card online on confirmation, or at the shop in Entrago on arrival. Cancel free up to 24 hours before by WhatsApp or phone.

4.

How does the return transfer work?

Departures every hour from 13:00 to 18:00 from Buyera. When you reach the end of the route you call or WhatsApp us and we pick you and the bike up to drive you back to Entrago, right next to your car. Included in all rates at no extra cost.

5.

Where do I pick up the bikes?

At our shop at Polígono de Pradacón Nave 1, 33111 Entrago (Teverga, Asturias). 40 minutes from Oviedo by car and 5 metres from the start of the Senda del Oso. Free parking right outside.

6.

What should I bring?

The basics: water, something to eat (there are picnic areas and bars along the way), comfortable clothes and closed sports shoes (no flip-flops). In summer, cap and sunscreen; in winter, a warm layer. Bike, helmet, map and insurance are on us — you just need to turn up keen.

7.

Do you have bikes for kids and babies?

Yes, from babies up. We have baby seats up to 20 kg (€14), kids trailers for 1 or 2 small children (€22), semi-tandems for kids 4 to 8 (€22) and kids bikes in 16", 20" and 24" sizes (€22). Helmets in all sizes always included.

8.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. We have pet-friendly trailers up to 20 kg (€22) and XXL up to 30 kg (€30). Both with a €40 deposit. Lit tunnels, frequent shade and rest areas along the whole route.

9.

What if I can’t ride a bike?

We have an adult tricycle (€30), very stable, ideal for those who don’t feel confident on a two-wheeled bike. You can also walk the trail — we tell you which sections are prettiest and how to combine the return with the bus instead of walking back.

10.

What happens if it rains on my booking day?

Cancel free up to 24 hours before and come another day. A good part of the trail runs through tunnels and covered areas, so often you can ride without issue with light rain. If it rains heavily on the day, best to let us know and reschedule.

11.

Do you have e-bikes?

Yes. E-bike with pedal assist (€50/day), with range for the full 28 km route including the Valdemurio reservoir detour. Good option if you want to enjoy without effort or if you come with little fitness.

12.

Do you offer discounts for groups or schools?

Yes. For groups from 20 people (schools, companies, stag/hen parties) we prepare a tailored quote with volume discount, optional guide and flexible timing. Ask by phone or WhatsApp and we reply the same day.
