We have been renting bikes for the Senda del Oso for more than 20 years, and the fleet reflects every profile that has walked into the shop: families with a baby, grandparents on a tricycle, couples on a tandem, dogs in a trailer, school groups of 30 kids.

Everything you see below is available same-day if you book ahead, and it’s handed over fully checked. Giant is one of the world’s largest bike makers. Talon model, upper mid-range for greenways, with reinforced aluminium frame, V-brake or disc brakes depending on the unit, and Shimano components.

We chose it for reliability under heavy use and parts availability — when the fleet needs a part, we have it in 24 hours and swap it without the bike spending a day out of service.

Connor is a consolidated brand in tourist rentals — more affordable than Giant, easy to maintain and rugged for season-long use. We’ve been running it for years and know it inside out.

Running the fleet with two single brands (instead of mixing 10) means the mechanic knows every bike, parts are interchangeable between units of the same model and checking times drop drastically.

Which bike brands do you rent?

We work with two brands: Giant (Talon model, upper mid-range) and Connor (mid-range). Both are mountain bikes with aluminium frame, 21 speeds and V-brake or disc brakes. We chose them for heavy-use reliability and the ease of maintaining a uniform fleet.

Do you have e-bikes?

Yes. We have pedal-assist e-bikes with enough range for the full 28 km route including the Valdemurio reservoir detour. Few units, so book ahead, especially on weekends and peak season.

What adult bike sizes do you have?

Sizes S, M, L and XL, covering heights from 1.50 m to over 1.85 m. If you’re unsure about size, call us before coming and we adjust it to your measurements so you can pick it up straight away.

Up to what age can you equip a child?

From babies (baby seat up to 20 kg) to kids 8-9 years old on our own kids bikes. In between we have child trailers for 1-2 small kids, semi-tandems for 4-8 years (attached to an adult bike) and kids bikes in three sizes (14", 20", 24").

What’s the max weight for the dog trailer?

We have two models: standard up to 20 kg and XXL up to 30 kg for big dogs. Both with canopy, ventilation and €40 refundable deposit charged on pickup and returned on drop-off.

Can I bring my own bike and just rent the transfer?

The service we offer is full rental: bike + helmet + insurance + map + support + transfer in the price. We don’t do stand-alone transfer without rental. If you bring your own bike, the easiest is to arrange your return by car from Buyera with a companion.
