These conditions govern the rental contract between Bicisendadeloso and any person renting a bicycle or accessory at our shop in Entrago (Teverga, Asturias), whether or not a prior booking has been made.
When you pick up a bike we give you a summary copy of this contract. By signing it, you fully accept the conditions published here and confirm that you have read them.
Parties to the contract
- Lessor (we): David Javier Pintado Laruelo, sole trader (self-employed), trading under the commercial name Bicisendadeloso, Tax ID 09394016B (Intra-Community VAT ES09394016B), registered address at Calle Bermudo I el Diácono 3 Bajo, 33012 Oviedo, and business premises at Polígono de Pradacón Nave 1, 33111 Entrago (Teverga). Holder of the active tourism authorisation TA-100 of the Principality of Asturias.
- Lessee (you, the customer): natural person of legal age who collects the bike and signs the contract. If you are renting for a group or family, you act as the representative and are responsible for the proper use of the equipment by all members.
Subject matter and scope
The subject matter of the contract is the temporary rental of a bicycle and, where applicable, accessories (helmet, child seat, child trailer, dog trailer, semi-tandem, tandem, tricycle) for use on the Senda del Oso and connecting greenways or roads, in accordance with the conditions set out herein.
The following is expressly prohibited:
- Use of the equipment outside the usual geographical area (Teverga Valley, Senda del Oso and neighbouring municipalities) without prior authorisation.
- Sub-letting, transfer or loan of the equipment to third parties.
- Use of the equipment in competitions, technical descents, jumps or any sporting activity other than recreational cycle tourism.
Booking and confirmation
You can book your bike with no card, no deposit and no upfront payment via:
- The online form at /en/booking/.
- Telephone +34 644 199 430 or WhatsApp.
- Email reservas@bicisendadeloso.es.
We will send you a confirmation by email and WhatsApp within a few minutes. The booking is confirmed once you receive that notification. If it does not arrive within 15 minutes, please check your spam folder and contact us.
The booking guarantees you the bike for the date and time agreed, but does not imply payment or penalty if you do not show up. We do ask, however, that you let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you cancel, so that we can release the bike for another customer.
Prices, payment and invoicing
Current prices are published at /en/bike-rental/prices/ and are those applied at the time of collection. We apply the same rate on any date, with no surcharges on weekends, public holidays, Easter or summer.
Payment is made when collecting the bike at the shop, before departure. We accept:
- Cash.
- Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express where applicable).
- Bizum.
We will issue a simplified invoice at the time of payment. If you need a full invoice with fiscal details, please let us know before collecting the bike.
Cancellation and changes
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the agreed collection time, by WhatsApp, telephone or email. No questions, no penalty.
If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, it is usually still free of charge, particularly due to adverse weather. Please contact us as soon as possible.
Booking changes (number of bikes, model, time) are handled through the same channels and are subject to availability.
Collection and return of the bike
- Collection at the Entrago shop within the published opening hours. We assign you the right size, adjust the saddle and handlebars, explain the route and key points on the map, and you sign the contract.
- Return the same day before closing, unless you have arranged a multi-day rental. Unjustified delay in returning the bike entitles the lessor to:
- Charge a surcharge proportional to the hours of delay.
- Consider the bike as non-returned if the delay exceeds 24 hours without communication, activating the deposit procedure or a report of misappropriation.
- When the bike is returned, we check its condition and give you the OK to release deposits (if any).
Customer obligations
By signing the contract, the customer undertakes to:
- Use the bike and accessories with due diligence, respecting the highway code and the instructions of the staff.
- Always ride on the trail and, on urban or inter-urban road sections, on the corresponding lane or hard shoulder.
- Not perform dangerous manoeuvres, jumps, technical descents or sporting uses other than recreational cycle tourism.
- Not leave the bike unattended on public roads. If you make a long stop, use the lock if we have provided one or keep it in sight of the group.
- Return the full equipment (bike, helmet, map, accessories) and in the same condition as collected, except for normal wear and tear.
- Report any incident (puncture, fall, loss) as soon as possible to the assistance telephone.
Insurance and liability
All rented bikes are covered by an insurance policy taken out by the lessor for the activity. The specific cover and exclusions are governed by the terms of the policy in force at any given time; the customer may request information at the shop on the applicable terms before starting the route.
In general, and without prejudice to the terms of the policy:
- Damage caused by negligent, reckless or wilful use, while drunk or under the influence of any substance, is excluded.
- Intentional damage, use outside the authorised area and sporting activities other than recreational cycle tourism are excluded.
- Loss or theft of the customer’s personal equipment (bags, phone, camera, clothing, etc.) is not covered by the lessor’s policy.
In the event of an accident or incident, please call +34 644 199 430 immediately and, where appropriate, 112. We will put the events in writing to manage the matter with the insurer.
Deposits and damage
- Bikes require no deposit under normal conditions.
- Dog trailers require a refundable deposit of €40, paid on collection and returned in full on handing back the trailer in the same condition.
In the event of damage caused by misuse, an accident for which the customer is liable, or the loss of components (pedals, lights, seat, helmet, pump), the customer is responsible for the cost of repair or replacement, assessed on a case-by-case basis using the manufacturer’s official spare part price as a reference. Wherever possible, we will discuss this before applying any charge.
Normal wear and tear (brakes, tyres, brake pads) is not invoiced to the customer.
Helmet and minors
- We provide an approved helmet to all customers. Its use is recommended for adults and mandatory for under-16s under article 47 of the General Traffic Regulations (RDL 6/2015).
- Under-18s may only rent under the responsibility of an adult who signs the contract on their behalf.
- For child trailers and child seats, the responsible adult is in charge of riding and of the safety of the child being carried.
Dogs and pet-friendly trailers
- We have standard trailers for dogs up to 20 kg and XXL trailers up to 30 kg.
- The dog must travel on a lead inside the trailer and be protected by the cover where applicable.
- Dogs are not allowed in the bear enclosure at Molina, in accordance with the rules of the protected area.
- The customer is liable for any damage caused by their pet to the bike, trailer or third parties.
- We advise against using a trailer on hot days (>25 ºC), with brachycephalic dogs (bulldog, pug), puppies and dogs with respiratory problems.
Return transfer from Buyera
Included at no extra cost in all rates.
- When you finish your ride at Buyera, call +34 644 199 430 or send a WhatsApp message.
- We will come to pick you up with the van in about 15 minutes (longer at peak times).
- We take you and the bike back to Entrago, to the car park next to the shop.
The transfer only covers the Buyera ↔ Entrago route. Other journeys are outside the included service.
Weather and force majeure
- If the day is unsafe due to heavy rain, storm or snow, we may recommend postponing or cancelling at no cost.
- If you start the route and the weather seriously worsens, we will call to coordinate early pick-up at an accessible point with the van, provided it is operationally feasible.
- Both parties are released from obligations that cannot be fulfilled due to force majeure (trail closure for safety reasons, administrative closure, extreme weather, etc.).
Theft, loss or disappearance
- In the event of theft of the bike, the customer must notify us immediately by telephone or WhatsApp and file a police report with the Guardia Civil, National Police or Local Police without undue delay, providing us with a copy of the report as soon as possible. The police report is a piece of evidence for the purposes of the insurance claim and the customer’s liability; its absence or unjustified delay will be assessed under the applicable civil and consumer legislation.
- In the event of loss or voluntary abandonment of the equipment, the customer is liable for the cost of replacement at market price, assessed case by case with reference to the manufacturer’s official price.
